Exclusively for Culture night 2011, The Powerscourt Gallery will be hosting a ‘Nudes’ & ‘Life Drawing’ exhibition from a range of accomplished artists including Sohoko Blake, who’s life drawing talent was recently featured on RTE’s life drawing documentary, NAKED where  Olympic swimmer Melanie Nocher served as her sitter for a session.

We are also delighted to include works from Academy Award Nominees

Jimmy T. Murakami (“The Magic Pear Tree”) and Ross Stewart (“The Secret of Kells”)

Other artists featured in the exhibit are Ayelet Lalor, Carole Shubotham and John O’Flynn.

The human figure has been the subject of drawings since Prehistoric times. The Powerscourt gallery will reveal the skill of figure drawing by setting up an informal life drawing session on the night. This is a fantastic opportunity for anyone to attempt drawing one the most enduring themes in the visual arts.

Complimentary wine on Arrival.

From 6pm to 9pm on Culture Night, Friday 23rd September 2011
