Building on last year’s Crossbothair projections in Kerry, Galway, Donegal and Dublin, Temple Bar Cultural Trust is developing a project with artists who live and work in thegaeltacht. Last year saw the work of over 80 artists, who have a connection with the Gaeltacht, presented throughout theGaeltachts and Dublin. It was a large project displaying the diversity of practice.

This year the emphasis is to work with key ghaeltacht practitioners from different arts background and practice, to produce highly professional work highlighting the high standard of arts practice in the ghaeltacht.

In 2012 Temple Bar Cultural Trust will further develop the partnership with the National Gallery, inviting Andrew Duggan, Ríonach Ní Néill and Ronán Ó Snodaigh, threegaeltacht-based artists to make a piece in response to a particular piece in the National Gallery’s collection.
