Experience RTE? in Concert on The Ark Stage in Meeting House Square. Following on from the success of the last years, RTE? Radio 1’s Arena once again presents an outdoor broadcast live from the Ark stage in Meeting House Square in honour of Culture Night 2015.

Specially extended to three hours (7-10pm), this will be a packed cultural programme featuring a mix of interviews, music, poetry, drama and comedy with musical accompaniment from the RTE? Concert Orchestra.

Musical offerings on the night range from classical and operatic to traditional and popular items. With performances from singer-songwriters, Lisa Lambe and Fiach Moriarty, to baritone Simon Morgan and traditional groups Moxie and Enda O’Reilly and Aoife Scott plus The Rowsome Uilleann Piping Quartet. Poetry by Cat Brogan, Stephen James Smyth and Clara Rose Thornton; comic relief from The Ark’s Darina Gallagher and Sinead Murphy plus theatrical elements from Pat Kinevane (Fishamble Theatre Company). Little tasters from the Dublin Theatre Festival and the best of the Tiger Fringe Festival complete the programme. This live event is a ‘must see’ for Culture Night attendees.

Known for her rich voice, expansive range and dynamic stage presence, mezzo-soprano Tara Erraught will also be performaing accompanied by the RTE Concert Orchestra.

No booking required, however timely arrival is advised as capacity is limited.  PLEASE NOTE ENTRANCE TO CONCERT IS FROM EAST ESSEX STREET ONLY.
