Russell Library Tours of the Library’s Collection

  • Address: The Russell Library, South Campus, Maynooth University, Maynooth
Facilities:

This beautiful library is home to a unique collection of manuscripts, archives and early printed works and a fine example of Pugin architecture.  Join a guided tour of the Russell Library and admire the beautiful work.  Make your way to the library early as tours are on a first-come, first-served basis (max 30 people per tour).  Visitors will also have an opportunity to view an exhibition of documents, photographs and artefacts relating to Maynooth volunteer, Domhnall ua Buachalla.  The exhibition greatly contributes to wider national dialogue surrounding the current decade of commemorations and tells the story of Ua Buachalla, a man who had an indelible impact not just on local life but also on national politics in the twentieth century.

Date: Fri 16th Sept

Time: 3-7pm (hourly tours, with the last tour starting at 6pm)
